Traditional Folk Costume Making
The Ludza Crafts Centre offers consultations and the creation of complete traditional folk costumes for both individuals and groups.
We specialise in the consultation, design, and custom production of archaeological, ethnographic, and stylised stage costumes, including the assembly of complete costume sets tailored to each client’s needs.
The craftsmen of Ludza offer consultations on the selection, design, and creation of individual traditional folk costume sets. We create authentic folk costumes based on drawings, photographs, and other reference materials for individual clients, families, dance groups, choirs, and amateur artistic collectives.
We also produce complete archaeological costume sets, including skirts, shawls, shirts, crowns, jewellery, belts, leg wraps, wrist bands, woven accessories, boots, cloaks, hats, and other traditional elements.
Custom-made ethnographic folk costumes are available upon request, including shirts, skirts, belts, socks, crowns, brooches, shawls, shoulder scarves, aprons, headscarves, hats, coats, trousers, vests, shoes, sandals, and boots.
We recommend arranging an in-person meeting to select costume details, materials, and patterns according to your preferences, take individual measurements, and agree on the production timeline.
