The Ludza Crafts Centre in LATGALE was established with the aim of preserving the ancient craft skills and artisanal traditions of the Latgalians, strengthening the prestige of Latgalian identity in society, and offering both local residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the Latgalian way of life through the works, skills, knowledge, and heritage of local craftsmen and artists while fostering Latvian cultural identity and pride.

Located in the heart of Ludza Old Town, in the former flax warehouse building at 27a Tālavijas Street, skilled artisans warmly create traditional folk costumes and handcrafted works, brew homemade beer, research and reconstruct ancient craft techniques and objects, and share valuable traditional skills and knowledge with all interested visitors.
